John W. Mamer
Interim Chair, Department of Film, Television and Digital Media; Professor
A member of the UCLA Anderson faculty since 1981, John W. Mamer has served the school in a variety of administrative capacities, including twice as Chair of Faculty and once as Interim Dean. His research interests include decision making under uncertainty, applied probability, game theory and optimization. He has taught in Anderson’s full-time, Fully Employed MBA and Executive MBA programs, and his teaching responsibilities include probability and statistics, which he has taught regularly to MBA students for the past two decades.
Mamer received a B.S. degree in mathematics and a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California at Davis. From the University of California, Berkeley, he received masters and Ph.D. degrees in business administration.
